CALNACHI’s Continuing Education Policy

In keeping with our mission statement, continuing education is essential and can be accomplished in a number of ways. Members are required to complete 24 hours of documented and verifiable continuing education hours/units each calendar year, and hours/unit can be carried over to the next calendar year. These hours/units can be for almost anything related to the inspection industry and can be attained in a variety of ways, although the board will remain open to suggestions.

1.    Through completion of approved seminars or courses, including those of other organizations, the value of which is typically posted.

2.    Through approved online seminars and courses, the value of which is typically posted.

3.    By attending local chapter meetings, with value measured in seminar hours.

4.    By teaching, or by publishing articles in trade journals: worth a minimum value of 8 hours/unit.

5.    By mentoring other inspectors, with value measured in hours.

6.    By becoming a chapter president or an officer, or serving on a committee, with value worth 12 to 24 hours/credits.

7.    Serving others in educational or charitable pursuits, with value measured in hours.

Learning is a mysterious thing, and the board of directors encourages dialogue and will remain open to the ideas of anyone who has a different notion of what constitutes credit for continuing education. We recognize that our members are premier inspectors who will never stop learning and in whom this organization has placed its trust. For this reason the board accepts and respects hours/units from other inspection associations. Here are some of the ways members can achieve their educational hours/units.

Note: Your CalNACHI membership renewal date will be the same as that of your InterNACHI membership.
The renewal date of your InterNACHI membership will remain the same. When it comes due, you may elect to renew with InterNACHI, CalNACHI, or BOTH at an incredibly reduced rate.

Nick has agreed to give current InterNACHI members a break when they renew with both organizations. Now the InterNACHI yearly renewal rate will be $250.00 instead of $289.00 and CalNACHI will be $100.00 instead of $235.00.
